"I am interested in the discussion/discourse created by the interaction of layers". Beginning with physically cutting and weaving images together, the current work relies on digital tools. And, the occasional opportunity to capture Magic.
The major influences have been from VCU instructors including George Nan and Chuck Scalin. The works of Richard Avedon and Francis Bacon have also been inspirational to Lew's pictures.
Beyond being a Fine Art Photographer, Lew's interests include Teardrop Trailers, Small Boats, Music and Woodworking.
